Jack Garbo – Senior Attorney

Jack was born in Havre de Grace, Maryland while his father was in the military.  Shortly thereafter, his family moved back to their home in northern Ohio.  Jack was raised in Willoughby Hills, Ohio, which is an eastern suburb of Cleveland.

Jack grew up loving sports.  He played baseball as a youngster, then played football and wrestled in junior high and high school, and continued wrestling during his first two years in college at Ohio University. Jack entered the Army in 1966 and was stationed in Germany for 2 ½ years.  During his tour in Germany, he was assigned to a Special Services Unit (Athletics and Entertainment), and once again played football, and was a proud member of the Third Infantry Division Wrestling Team.

After his tour of duty in the Army, Jack came home to continue his education. He returned to Ohio University for two quarters, then transferred to Ohio State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History, graduating in 1972.  He then entered law school at the University of Notre Dame, graduating from Notre Dame Law School in 1975 with a Juris Doctor degree. After graduation from law school, he practiced in a general practice law firm in Columbus, Ohio for eight years. In the Fall of 1983, Jack postponed his legal career and moved to Fort Worth, Texas to purchase a metal fabrication company during the vehicle (van) conversion era.

After owning and operating the company for ten years, Jack re-entered the legal field, and acquired a well-established law practice in Arlington, Texas; that being the Wm. L. Bondurant Law Firm, in January 1993. Shortly after acquiring the Bondurant firm, Jack realized that he loved estate planning, as well as helping families through the probate process. The estate planning and probate areas of the law continue to be his passion, and he is honored to assist the many families he is blessed to work with.

Jack continues to live in Arlington, Texas with his wife, Sheri. Jack and Sheri have two wonderful daughters, Kayci Leanne and Molly Susanne.
