Austin Butts

Attorney

Austin B. Butts has been practicing law since 2015 and focuses his practice on estate planning, estate and gift tax planning, business planning, asset protection planning, guardianship, probate, and estate administration. He enjoys these practice areas because they provide a unique opportunity to make things easier for people who are going through the most difficult seasons of life.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Science with a Major in Economics and a Minor in Business Administration from Texas A&M University. While at A&M, Austin participated in the Texas A&M Economics Society and the Student Officials Association. While in law school at the University of Oklahoma College of Law, Austin participated in the Energy and Resources Law Student organization and was on the Dean’s Honor Roll.

Austin is admitted to practice law in all courts by the Texas Supreme Court and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

Austin and his wife Christina were married in 2017 and had their first child, Charlotte, in 2021. They are faithful members of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano where Austin serves as a Deacon, teaches a life group, and sings in the choir.

When Austin is not at work, he likes to spend his time in the great outdoors hunting and fly fishing. As an alum, he is an avid Texas A&M fan, and having grown up in Dallas, he roots for the Dallas Cowboys, the Texas Rangers, and the Dallas Stars any chance he can. Austin also loves to smoke his own barbeque to share at family gatherings.
